In 2026, we’re celebrating our 21st year of foraging and our 10th year of teaching—and we’d love for you to join us for a class, guided walk, or wild food tasting!
Many of our library presentations are free to attend and feature our original, award-winning photography. Our guided walks are welcoming to all ages and ability levels, and with our culinary background, we’re proud to offer delicious, homemade tastings crafted from wild-foraged ingredients.
Sign up, bring a friend, and experience the flavors and stories of the wild. We also offer private walks, presentations, and tastings for groups, and are available for bookings at libraries, nature centers, fish and game clubs, homeschool groups, corporate retreats, and garden clubs.

Late summer is our time for some traveling throughout New England, so class offerings will be reduced as we out taking classes and attending regional mushroom forays.
August 9, 10am-noon. Late Summer Foraging Walk, Milford, CT. $25 per adult, kids are free and welcome, cash or Venmo the day of the walk. We watch the weather and heavy rain will cancel. Location is sent to folks who register at the3foragers@gmail.com We will explore this wooded park for some late summer abundance of berries, greens, and mushrooms! Learn about the free food all around us in nature. This walk is fairly easy and flat. Educational handout provided.
August 22, 10am-12:30pm. Foraging Walk and TASTING, Farmington, CT. We will take a walk at this location for 90 minutes exploring any edible wild plants and mushrooms we may find and return to a prepared Tasting of 5 menu items featuring seasonal wild foods. Participants will receive an educational handout and copy of the menu. Please sign up at the3foragers@gmail.com to receive the exact location and parking information; heavy rain will cancel this event. Cost is $30 per adult, cash, Venmo, or Paypal the day of the walk.
August 29, 10am-12 noon. Wild Mushroom Identification Talk and Foraging Walk, Colchester, CT. We will start the day with a 30 minute class on how to identify mushrooms safely, which will include an educational handout to keep. Then we hit the trails in this location to seek out any wild mushrooms-edible, poisonous, or just cool! Cost is $30 per adult, kids free and welcome, cash or Venmo. We watch the weather and heavy rain will cancel, location will be sent out the night before class by registering at the3foragers@gmail.com.
September 10, 5:30 pm. Edible Wild Plants and Mushrooms of Autumn, Public Library of New London, CT. For this FREE presentation, I will be at the library with a slideshow of original photos of the bounty of autumn--nuts, roots, greens, fruits, and the fresh autumn mushrooms. Join me with your interest and questions, participants get to keep an educational handout. Space may be limited, please call 860-447-1141 to register.
September 12, 10am-12 noon. Early Autumn Foraging Walk and TASTING, Flanders Nature Center, Woodbury, CT. We will teach the flavors of autumn foraging for wild plants and mushrooms with an educational slideshow of all-original photos. We will take a hands-on walk on the property to touch, smell, and examine some of the living specimens. The program will end with a tasting of the seasonal bounty, prepared by Karen and Robert using fresh plants and mushrooms, and sharing goodies from their pantry and preserved stash. October 3, 10:00am. Edible Autumn Plant and Mushroom Walk. We are again working with the Rockfall Foundation to share the knowledge of autumn's gifts with this walk at the Pattaconk Reservoir.
